La Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) ouvre un bureau de représentation à Johannesburg, Afrique du Sud

As part of its international expansion strategy and its ambition to be a regional and continental leader,  Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), subsidiary of Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), continues its expansion in Africa by opening a representative office in Southern Africa.

The fourth representative office in Africa after Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt, this new SCR office will be based in Johannesburg as a Hub for Southern Africa and will be headed by Stephan Lewin.

Stephan has held senior positions in leading brokerage and reinsurance companies in South Africa for over 30 years. Thanks to his experience and network, he will usher SCR into a new stage of its development in Africa.

With this new representative office, SCR is strengthening its presence in Southern Africa to better support and serve the needs of this region characterized by a dynamic and burgeoning economy.

Established as a lever for growth and improvement of profitability within the framework of the 2021-2023 strategic plan, “We Transform Tomorrow Together (We 3T)” adopted by SCR Board of Directors, the international development of SCR strengthens its status as the leading regional reinsurer in Africa and the Middle East and a long-standing partner of the insurance sector in the continent.

Thus, the African anchoring of SCR, its proven knowledge of the market, good ratings, expertise and partnerships are all assets to accelerate the continental development of the leading reinsurer in the Kingdom of Morocco.
