Casablanca Finance City discusses the future of the African continent post-Covid-19, in celebration of Africa Day

Morocco’s financial center produced a web-TV program to celebrate Africa day. This program highlights business opportunities in Africa following the health crisis. What to expect: testimonials from Moroccan and international experts and investors.

Broadcasted online on Tuesday, May 25, CFC Talks -Special Africa Day is an innovative project created and produced by the financial center of Casablanca.

This program sheds light on the opportunities and challenges of Africa with a zoom on infrastructure, digital transformation, and financing sustainable growth. At the core of the discussions, remains a post-Covid-19 rebuild and the role Morocco’s financial center intends to play, alongside its member companies, in the deployment of recovery, stimulus or crisis exit plans in African countries.

To raise awareness of Africa’s potential, the Casablanca Finance City team and several “African believers” were invited to provide relevant testimonies on their vision and field experiences.

Among them, Mr. Lionel Zinsou, former Prime Minister of Benin and co-founder of SouthBridge Group, Mr. Lacina Kone, CEO of Smart Africa, Mr. Philippe Miquel, CEO of Engie North Africa, and Mr. Raza Hasnani, Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Investments at Africa50.

Aired on the occasion of Africa Day, the program is intended for a continental and international audience. With content focused on success stories, CFC Talks – Special Africa Day aims to change the perception that investors have of the continent by offering a positive outlook on African realities, however, not ignoring the challenges facing Africa.
