Casablanca Finance City took part this week in the board meeting of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) in Kigali, Rwanda.
Mrs Manal Bernoussi, Director of Strategy, Partnerships & Communication at CFC and board member of the WAIFC as well as Mr Mourad FATHALLAH, Head of Strategy & Partnerships attended a series of meetings alongside other financial centres representatives.
▪️Representants from all attending financial centers had the great honor to be received by HE President Paul Kagame.
▪️Dr Uzziel Ndagijimana, Minister of Finance and Economic planning shared an overview of Rwanda’s financial sector.
▪️Central Bank Governor M. John Rwangombwa led a presentation and discussion on the Central Bank’s mandate to ensure a sound and secure financial system for Rwanda.
▪️KIFC hosted a conference on financial centers’ journey to sustainability. Alongside Luxembourg for Finance and Enterprise Nigeria, Casablanca Finance City shared the latest developments on Morocco’s sustainable finance roadmap as well as the flagship initiatives led by the national financial sector’s stakeholders to scale-up green & sustainable finance in Morocco and beyond in the region.
These meetings help foster international collaboration and exchange of best practices between international financial centers.
All members had the opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and pay their respects to the memory of the victims and the courage of survivors.
