CFC, represented by Manal Bernoussi, Strategy, Partnerships & Communications Director, took part in the annual general meeting of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) held this year in Abu Dhabi. Representatives from Toronto, Frankfurt, Japan, Belgium, Paris, Kazakhstan, Moscow, London, Luxembourg, Oman, Qatar, Mauritius, Busan, Hong Kong and Casablanca gathered at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) headquarters. Discussions revolved around the role of international financial centers in developing the economy, exchanging best practices for the financing of SMEs, developing Fintech ecosystems as well updates on the green and sustainable agenda. Prior to this meeting Manal Bernoussi and Mourad FATHALLAH, Head of Strategy, together with Amine Fassi Fihri (INDATACORE), winner of the CFC/ADGM Fintech contest, attended the FintechAD festival, largest fintech event in the region. The 3 day event was very insightful and allowed for an impactful interaction between Fintech startups and key industry actors. This was an important step for CFC as we continue to build our Fintech ecosystem.
