Lamia MERZOUKI, Deputy General Manager, Casablanca Finance City Authority & Co-Chair- UN-convened Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) Financial Centers For Sustainability Network (FC4S) had the pleasure of participating in the #GCF private investment for the climate conference.

The session explored how the central banks, local banking sector, and international public and commercial financial institutions could support long-term economic recovery while simultaneously delivering positive climate impact. The sub-themes debated how to bring climate risk and resilience into the financial system decision-making through targeted policy actions, financial innovation, and appropriate knowledge generation.

This year, #GPIC2021 was bringing together global and national leaders as well as top-level private sector executives to debate and discuss these issues through a two-day series of virtual panel discussions, that was held on 18 and 19 of October 2021.

At #FC4S we promote spaces like this, that enable the exchange of good practices and initiatives that allude to the promotion of sustainable policy actions.
