CFC publishes a COVID-19 practical guide, for employers in Africa in partnership with corporate members of the CFC community

Casablanca Finance City (CFC) has announced the publication of a special edition of its “Africa Insights” series in the form of a practical guide for employers in Africa, in collaboration with the law firms CWA, Nasrollah & Associés – Baker McKenzie and the technology supplier Sopra Banking Software; all three members of the CFC business community. This guide is devoted to the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on businesses and the most common questions concerning labor and employment law in Africa.

The document was released, live on Friday, April 24th during a webinar, to which, members of the financial center were invited. On this occasion, Mr. Said Ibrahimi, CEO of CFC said: “For this special edition, we have leveraged the expertise and collective intelligence of our members to support the CFC community with their social law decisions. In a spirit of solidarity and long-term mutual commitment, we strongly encourage our members to preserve jobs and maintain the payment of salaries.”

Created with the support of recognized experts, the guide provides different types of responses according to practices in 10 African countries: Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia.
