The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the African continent reached 810,008 on July 25th according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The number of deaths related to the pandemic rose to 17,088 and some 462,374 patients who tested positive have recovered across the continent so far.
The Southern Africa region is the most affected area in terms of confirmed cases, followed by Northern and Western Africa.
