China has been one of the biggest financiers of infrastructure projects in Africa: 1 infrastructure project out of 5 in the continent is backed by Beijing and between 140 and 150 Billion dollars in loans have been engaged.
Yet, many African economies have been hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic. So, will China prove to be a generous and understanding creditor? Can it even afford to be?
