Casablanca Finance City Authority will be speaking at the Green Finance Summit 31 May – 1 June, in London (Guildhall). Hosted by the City of London and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI), the Green Finance Summit is a two-day symposium showcasing the latest in green financial policy, market developments and thought leadership.
Speakers will include world-leading experts in green finance, from business and technology representatives to investors, financiers and high-level government figures. The Summit will explore the green finance commercial opportunities and will focus on achieving the “scaling-up” of green finance globally.
Lamia Merzouki, Deputy General Manager of Casablanca Finance City, will participate in the panel “Smarter cities – financing the future” moderated by Nick Robins, ?Co-Director at the UNEP Inquiry. This session will explore the interlinkage between the ‘smarter city’ and ‘green finance’ agendas and Mrs. Merzouki will outline Morocco’s sustainable finance experience and detail the extent to which green finance is now a strategic priority for the development of Casablanca Finance City as a pan African business and financial hub.
