Lamia MERZOUKI, Deputy General Manager of CFC, participated in the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative’s Regional Roundtable Africa & Middle East on the topic of projects and partnerships to advance sustainable finance in MENA.
As co-chair of the UN-convened Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S), Mrs. Merzouki shared her perspective on the theme saying, « the FC4S is a primary forum for public-private collaboration on sustainable finance. In this context, We have been able to create a real space, attentiveness, and aura for Africa within this global network, thanks to the dynamism of the African chapter.
This FC4S African chapter is a unique platform, as it has been accelerating the emergence of new financial centers bodies, which adopted sustainability as a strategic priority in their DNA from the start ».
