To support stronger healthcare delivery in West Africa, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical announced its partnership with the International Finance Corp to help build a pharmaceutical production facility and distribution hub in Cote d’Ivoire. IFC will provide subsidiaries of Fosun Pharma with loans totaling 50 million euros to support the construction of a manufacturing site near Abidjan that will produce anti-malaria drugs and antibacterial medicines. The project will take place in 3 phases and is expected to have a capacity of 5 billion medicine tablets annually after the completion of the final phase.
