The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is the largest free trade area in the world with the potential to lift 30 million people out of extreme poverty by creating a single market for goods and services across Africa and ensuring free movement of capital and people in the continent. Can AfCFTA be a force to transform Africa towards free trade and capitalism? Can it pave the way to prosperity by abolishing trade barriers, protective tariffs, and special privileges? Can AfCFTA open trade routes to free international exchange and competition among the private citizens of Africa? What does it mean for the individuals who want to trade value with value in a competitive environment?
