Casablanca Finance City announced on February 21st the release of the 9th edition of the Africa Insights Report. This report, produced in collaboration with BMI, a Fitch Solutions company, was unveiled during a conference organized by Casablanca Finance City Authority. It highlights the economic and social opportunities arising from the increasing economic integration among African nations. The report’s findings underscore that the AfCFTA has the potential to multiply by 2,5 the continent’s GDP by 2050, with a particular emphasis on job creation in key sectors such as manufacturing. Additionally, the AfCFTA is seen as a catalyst for the continent’s energy transition, promoting the adoption of renewable energies and the integration of regional power grids. The event, which brought together experts and practitioners in African trade, illustrates CFC’s commitment to promoting regional economic integration and reinforces its position as a major financial centre in Africa.
