Launching e-services for CFC community

CFC has recently partnered with the general directorate of local municipalities,the city of Casablanca and  the borough of Hay Hassani to  launch new E-services. This innovative platform allows to notarize and certify documents remotely and is available exclusively to the CFC community before its launch to the general public.

Through this initiative, CFC consolidate its role as a pioneer in doing business practices for the benefit of its members but also as a perfect sandbox for innovative measures for the whole country.

Be first to pre-register and create your account by following the instructions on the designated electronic platform: wraqi.ma/Home/CFC.

To complete your registration, dedicated bilingual officers will assist you at the nearby Annexe administrative Cité de l’Air, located at Rue AeroCity, Hay Hassani, Casablanca.

Foreign employees newly recruited by companies with the CFC status and who do not yet have registration cards can now open a provisional bank account in dirhams by simply submitting their foreign work contract approved by the Ministry of Labor and professional integration. In the past, opening an account required presenting the registration card application receipt.

ADMINISTRATIVE ADVANTAGES

CFC offers business facilitation and simplified procedures across establishment of a one stop shop:

• Accelerated administrative procedure for the constitution of companies in 48h
• Taechir service to simplify and speed up the process foreign work permits. CFC members are able to apply and pick up foreign employment contracts directly at CFC headquarters.
• Outsourced legalization of signatures service on foreign employment contracts.

Thus, members can obtain foreign employment contracts in 48 hours and residence permits in 2 weeks.

• Simplified procedures for business visa applications (24h)
• Financial institutions can receive their accreditation through a consolidated form that allows both CFC status and accreditation.

PEOPLE MOBILITY

People Mobility

Companies with “CFC Status” benefit from a faster and easier procedure for recruiting foreign candidates.
This procedure consists of:

  • The exemption from the ANAPEC certificate certifying the absence of national candidates to fill the proposed post to the foreign candidate;
  • Foreign candidates are exempt from producing certified copies of their professional references;
  • Foreign work permit granted within a maximum period of 3 working days.

Important notice:

CFC would like to remind its members, that to be in good stand with local authorities, all foreign nationals residing in Morocco must apply for a residence permit.

In addition, starting September 1, 2019, all foreign minors must have valid local documentation to allow for exit and entry of Moroccan territory.

TAX BENEFITS

Companies with “CFC status” benefit from the following tax advantages

CORPORATE INCOME TAX

The company benefits in terms of taxable income from local and export turnover:

  • total exemption during the first 5 consecutive fiscal years, starting from the first fiscal year of granting of the status
  • taxation at the specific rate of 15% beyond.

Date of effect of Corporate income tax benefits

The effective date of the tax benefits begins from the date on which the CFC commission decides to grant CFC status.

In the event that, during the same financial year, the company carries out its activity for a given period without CFC status and the remainder of the period with CFC status, the benefits provided are granted in proportion to the activity carried out from the date of being granted the CFC status.

PERSONAL INCOME TAX

All CFC employees have the choice between:

  • A personal income tax at the specific rate of 20%

The following elements are affected by this rate:

* Gross salaries, emoluments, and wages

* Compensation and benefits in cash or in kind, as a salary supplement

If the employee has other income, he must also file his declaration of overall income (in accordance with the provisions of article 82 of the General Tax Code (C.G.I))

  • Standard taxation from the 1st year

Date of effect of the income tax benefits

Taxation at the rate of 20% is granted for a maximum period of 10 years from:

  • Starting on the date at which the status was granted, for already existing employees
  • Starting on the date of employment for new recruits

OTHER TAX INCENTIVES

WITHHOLDING TAX ON DIVIDENDS 

The company with CFC status benefits from permanent exemption from withholding tax on dividends and other similar dividend income paid to residents and non-residents.

REGISTRATION FEES

CFC companies are exempt from registration fees relating to business creation and capital increase.
