Covering 54 countries, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) aspires to become the world’s largest free trade zone. Launched in 2018, this ambitious initiative aims to connect 1.4 billion Africans across the continent, multiply the continent’s GDP by 2.5 by 2050, generate 16 million new jobs in the manufacturing sector, and lift nearly 100 million Africans out of poverty.
