King Philippe of Belgium presented the prize of La Francophonie économique to Casablanca Finance City, the Moroccan financial center with a Pan-African vocation, on Wednesday June 29th during an official ceremony held at the Palais d’Egmont.
The “Prix de la Francophonie Economique” is awarded annually to a company or institution that has distinguished itself for outstanding innovations or successes in the fields of management and management. It must also evolve within the framework of an ethical charter and exemplary responsibility and respect the principles of good governance.
For this 2016 edition, a jury of international figures chaired by former French minister Xavier Darcos awarded Casablanca Finance City this international distinction, which was handed over to the Moroccan place by the Belgian sovereign, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Didier Reynders, and a parterre of international personalities.
Represented at this ceremony by its director general, Saïd Ibrahimi. Casablanca Finance City is recognized for its “strategic role in the financial integration of the continent”. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ibrahimi stressed that “this prestigious award confirms the correct positioning of Casablanca Finance City, an initiative born in 2010 of the vision and will of His Majesty Mohammed VI, As part of the royal orientations to promote South-South partnerships “.
